I like their last album the most. It's not anything special, but it's nice rock album. To me, it rocked more than any neoclassical medieval shit they did with Shadowthrone or whatever.

i saw them on the us tour with immortal and they reminded me of midnight oil . . . i have to say i didn't hate the new album. it's not unlistenable. i think music like that could use a few more drum fills though. it would make it more interesting. it's so square and blocky.

Midnight Oil? I gotta say that's a pretty random comparison... assuming it's the Australian band???

Seeing Frost drumming live is amazing. Seeing Satyr on the other hand inspired me to sell my Satyricon LPs. Was a good time, BM stocks were at an all time high ha ha

ha ha ha. it was satyr's bald head and the cheesy session guys playing with him.

at least i didn't compare them with a good new zealand act like split enz (or demoniac!)

Going to see Frost playing live in the current version of Satyricon is pointless.

I'm the opposite. I love the pretentious 'neoclassical medieval' shit they did and absolutely can't stand their wanna-be tough Balls To The Wall formulas later on. The Pentagram Burns is a great song though, I forgot the name of the album it's even on. Rebel Extravaganza rules too.

Well then I'll guess that's the first time you've seen them then.

The Pentagram Burns is on 'Now,Diabolical' , I believe. Good song, the best of their newer shit easily. Nice to hear that someone else appreciates Rebel Extravaganza

Probably gonna skip on seeing em this time around since Toxic Holocaust dropped off (ny friend Nicky is drumming for them) and I'd rather just watch my video of the Wetlands show from 2000.

Don't mind the new stuff - it's good for what it is / on its own merit but it doesn't compare to the older material. And I gotta say - big fan of Rebel Extravaganza. Especially the production. Perfect balance of filth and clarity.
