cremation demos are unbelievably good...its difficult for me to stop listening to them and listen to all of the other shit ive gotten recently because almost everything else will be less satisfying.

Waiting too!

edit: Got my Cremation DH today. What an awesome piece of wax, THANKS YOSUKE! I love that the Elite Age demo is considerably more separated in terms of channeling, sounds GREAT. Killer design for a TS too, heh. Cool

Just listened to side one of the SIXX picture disc and I loved it.
As stated before, this is not Black Metal or even Metal. It IS dark, creepy Gothic Rock for fans of early Sisters of Mercy, Bauhaus, early Joy Division and absolutely Samhain. I love all of those bands, so this wasn't too much of a chore to listen to for me. Hell, the band kind of looks like early Danzig/late Samhain in the photo.

Hails to NWN for blessing us with this cult release.

I will be buying the cd for sure as you can't take a picture disc on the subway...

i already posted my enthusiasm for the sixx record in the actual sixx thread but will say it again here. arrived saturday and has only left the turntable just briefly since. i hear more of the darkest elements of sisters of mercy and christian death than anything else but that might just be because they are some of the only goth/death-rock i am really that into. i get the samhain comparison too but definitely a lot cleaner and not as over the top. aside from the familiar spoken intros and signature reverb drenched goat grunts on the b-side it maintains a pretty minimal monotonous flow throughout that manages to remain really fucking heavy in its own right. probably the single biggest similarity to von overall. killer record, no samples necessary.

Just got around to listening to SIXX.
I think its fucking great. It's exactly what I hoped it was based on the descriptions. It's too bad they didn't last longer.

Yeah... same.
Can't wait to hear what a non heavy metal gothic rock band on ANTI-GOTH sounds like.

The SIXX demo is great. I had high hopes and was pleasantly surprised, better than I had imagined. I'm anxious for the die-hards to come in.
