HHR does as well, as well as a few others. You're right about most not doing so though, which sucks, even without shrinkwrap and the LPs shipped outside of the sleeves.

black widow indeed sucks.

arrived pretty warped and the top of lp jacket had splits and shit. you would think after all these years he would know how to pack his mailorder stuff well

oh that's really strange. those guys are usually uber picky treating vinyls. in early 90's I went in their store countless times and scored a lot of stuff.
I remember one day when I was there a parcel full of rare vinyls arrived and they opened it in front of me, that was the very first time that I saw records outside the jacket to avoid split seams! Embarassed

Osmose records:

- Re-releasing Immortal's first album on LP and forgetting the complete last track.
- Marduk re-releases with the awful artworks.

Hope the Impaled Nazarene's make up for it.

Deathrash Armageddon from Japan. When I was playing in my old band "Demonthrone" we released a split with them. When it finnally came out, and we got the copies, the track list was COMPLETELY screwed up. I don't know how someone could possible fuck a track list up that bad, it was as if they did it on purpose.

I don't know if anyone has had a similar experience with the label.

Oh, This is THE first time to hear that.
You don't say anything before then you just post it here?
I sent preview of artwork and you agreed with it.

I'm NOT declaring to fight with you here, if I made mistake on the track list, I say sorry.

But, well, I don't know, you call me shit label.
I don't have words anymore. Rolling Eyes

That wasen't me. You were talking to Andrew. I just did some shows on drums for the band, but I was concidered a full member. Maybe Andrew said it was ok? I don't know, but the track list was all wrong when I saw a copy of the split.

This is just what happened, with this particular release. I am only reporting the facts.

A couple of the Marduk re-release artworks are an improvement. The "Heaven shall burn...." original artwork is fucking retarded.

The Marduk reissues were done by Regain and not Osmose.

The dude who fucked up the whole tracklist on Immortal's "Battles in the North" and the idiot who printed the backside on King Diamond's "House of God" (digipack) upside down.

Back on Black [...] Mostly, it's as if they use CD covers as sources and merely blew them up into LP-size.

I know they did that at least with the De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas reissue. Ancient Darkness contacted them to know what they used as source for the cover, as the original photographs was lost or something like that. Ancient Darkness ended up scanning the original DSP vinyl press of DMDS for the cover on their deluxe reissue.

EDIT:

I always thought that was supposed to be like that. So you turn the cross upside down yourself?

Yes, they are good releases. My only issue with Osmose is that records always seem to arrive poorly packaged with bent corners from them.
