From the Vic Records Site:

"TRUE SWEDISH death metal CULT ALBUM, finally available again! FURBOWL ROCKS!!!

Finally Vic Records will re-release the long time sold out, legendary debut of Sweden’s FURBOWL!!

FURBOWL was formed in 1991 when Johan Liiva left Carnage and hooked up with his old buddy Max Thornell on drums (both would form HEARSE in the 90’s). After a few demos, FURBOWL recorded their debut album ‘Those Shredded Dreams’ in 1991, the album was produced by Carnage / Carcass guitar player and long time friend of the band, Michael Amott (ARCH ENEMY), Michael also played some leads on the album. (And not surprisingly Michael asked Johan to join Arch Enemy some years later).

This re-issue contains the legendary FURBOWL debut ‘Those Shredded Dreams’, plus 2 bonus video clips, and a bonus disc with 11 tracks the band recorded before and after their debut album. All in all, a true monument for the most underrated Swedish death metal band from the early 90’s! Re-mastered by Mike Wead (King Diamond / Mercyful Fate / Bibleblack). The album has new (cover) artwork by Ivan S. Bragin (October Tide, The Gathering, Hearse) and extensive liner notes from Johan, Max and Michael!

DISC I:
1. Damage Done
2. Nothing Forever
3. Razorblades
4. Desertion
5. Sharkheaven
6. Those Shredded Dreams
Desertion – video

DISC II: Bonus tracks
1. Hymn for Nathalie Rose (1993 demo)
2. Heart Inferno (1993 demo)
3. Only Inhuman (Demo 1992)
4. Buried Alive (Venom cover 1993)
5. Sharkheaven (Live 1993)
6. Razorblades (Live 1993)
7. Day Man Lost (Carnage cover, Live 1993)
8. Nothing Forever (Live 1993)
9. Desertion (Demo 1991
10. Shark Heaven (Demo 1991)

‘ Death ‘N Roll before it was invented. Furbowl sure was an unique band, and I urge you all to seek out all of their recordings’ - Daniel Ekeroth, author of international bestseller ‘Swedish Death Metal’. "

Vic offered us a vinyl license for this release, but we are still contemplating it as I'm not sure exactly how high the demand would be considering the album has already been on vinyl once.

Hah, didn't know this was already on vinyl. I picked up their CD in a second hand store a few months back and it's been getting quite a lot of playtime.

Good catch Humus, didn't notice that.
Are you (Darksymphonies) sure that it's been released on vinyl before?

I think the vinyl was more limited than the CD, but it was available for a shirt time I believe. We would of course use the original cover art if we do it, as well as all the bonus tracks on a second LP.

Call me Ted Smile .

No I'm actually not positive it was on LP before. I heard it was at one point but I could be wrong as I have been wrong a lot before about a lot of things from time to time Wink

Well Ted I'm not a professor either, but I've never heard about vinyl version. Maybe Minge or Peter can confirm this when they see the thread. Wink

I'm trying to remember where I saw it. I suppose if it was never on LP, that is more incentive to do it. The new cover art actually doesn't look bad, but kind of cliché with that photoshop, Travis smith look. If we do it, I'll stick with the original cover if I can manage to get a clean copy of it.

No furbowl vinyl exists....there was plans to release the demos on vinyl but that was last year and yet nothing as happened.

If you release the furbowl stuff , hope you release all the demo material too.If you need these guys email just let me know....dont bother mailing johan he takes an age to reply.

Iwas lucky to see these guys live in stockholm in 1995 i think it was supporting therion , what a great gig.

Now get this damn vinyl deal done.

Thanks, well if we decide to do it, and vic recs has permission to use the demo material, then we'll do it. If not, then I'll contact the band directly and ask for permission. Thanks, I'll keep you posted.

Talking to vic recs now, so it looks like this might happen, and looks like I may get the demos as well. Will post news, if any.

Yep, very good idea with a vinyl-release.

And no, Black Mark stopped vinyl versions with BMLP21 (Necrosanct - Incarnate LP). Furbowl was BMCD47...

You are now confusing "Those Shredded Dreams" to "The Autumn Years" which is also excellent and vinyl-version would be nice too.

And anyway, thanks for the tip! No need to find NECROSANCT Desolate LP anymore.... TED! DO IT!

. I'm in talks now with vic records for a vinyl release of "Those Shredded Dreams" + the 3 demos. Hopefully it will work out. I'll post news when it's a go, but it looks good as of now.
