Fresh blood here.

DSBM - How do you feel about it? I've been binging on Revenge and Abruptum lately so maybe it's just because I'm needing a change of pace, but recently Wigrid caught my eye and it's not bad. As far as the genre goes I like Silencer but I haven't listened to sterile nails in over a year and I have no clue what to check out. Any recommendations as far as shit to look up/purchase so I don't waste my money? (rather have fan's opinions than look up ANOTHER fucking non-helpful net article that links me to a suicide hotline when I type that shit in)

I've got a STERBEND "Dwelling Lifeless" tape for trade if you're interested in that stuff.

Old Bethlehem is the only band I can stand in this sub genre.

This style is one of my favs I like the sound and atmosphere it gives to the listener, screams are maniac & insane, you should try Wedard, Sterbend, Lyrinx, Nyktalgia, Austere, Trist, The Heartless, Sepulchral Cries... many to list them all...

Bethlehem plays very artful, superbly crafted "Dark Metal" - it seems like an insult to include them here.

Most of the bands in this crummy sub-genre sound like slooooow darkthrone with more "atmosphere" which usually amounts to mutliple overdubbing of out of tune guitars.

I do like "Tentacles of Whorror" by Leviathan though, so i got my ears on.

Holy fistfucking octopi, speaking of this - I've been listening quite fervently to it for the last couple weeks or so now, oddly enough. Take Bouquet of Blood for Skull's latter (slower) half - it's horrifically eerie - as is the majority of the album, even at the fastest portions - and frankly anything on this order would be much welcomed and encouraged. Good reminder, anything similar (non-Wrest though I guess).

Apologize for the ignorance on the Depressive shit.

Springtime Depression by Forgotten Tomb is a great offering.

I am pretty fond of the retardedly named "I'm in a Coffin" album... somewhere between old Bethlehem and Lifelover.

DARK METAL.

I also like (early) Forgotten Woods ans Strid, but I've never considered them suicidal or whatever. I can't stand this sub genre anyway.

Abyssic Hate, Shining, Bethlehem. I need only these.

From a bit more newer ones, Totalselfhatred has been very good one.

If you're suicidal, you should just get it over with and stop listening to dogshit like Xashtur and Shining.
