There are TONS of bands who take influence, and try to replicate the sounds of BLASPHEMY's first album "Fallen Angel Of Doom", but I haven't really found any bands that take heavy influence, or have based their sound to replicate the slightly different sounding, and slightly more thrashy BLASPHEMY's second album "Gods Of War".
Does anyone know any bands who sound like "Gods Of War"? _________________ Trade / Sale List: http://www.nwnprod.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7938

I'd be interested to know myself, that's actually my favorite Blasphemy release and one of the best war metal/whatever albums to me... _________________ http://unspeakableaxerecords.com |

For some reason Gods of War kind of reminds me of Blood's Christbait except less polished and more chaotic with better vocals. |

This album kinda just sounds like Blasphemy's sound in general, to me. Great album, though. _________________ Trade / Sale List: http://www.nwnprod.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7938 |

Might be no 100% similarity, but try Nuclearhammer. Their recent stuff is pretty much in that vein. |

I agree.
BEHERIT is like a more abstract take on what BLASPHEMY was doing, which always to me sounded like first album BATHORY merged with REPULSION. _________________ DEATH METAL UNDERGROUND |

They're one of the few bands in this sub genre these days that don't bore me to death. Album also sounds like its going to be interesting judging from one of the few interviews I've read with them.
Also still waiting for the split with Nyogthaelablisz. Is that still happening? |
