Has anyone ever come in contact with this tape? Allegedly, only 20 copies exist and were given from Warrior to friends. I'm interested in seeing the full layout. Also, was this bootlegged on tape a lot (thus making it impossible to tell if it's an original)?

No, I don't own everything. Though I try at least Wink

And to the threadstarter: I can provide you a pic. PM me your email-address please. Metal Archives is currently down, but I thought I did put there a pic of the tape+cover. Maybe it was replaced with the cover only.

Other than that, the "Demon Entrails" compilation has ace scans of all the original HELLHAMMER Demos anyway! Idea

Don't bother, but I just have one question... How did you get the demo?

It's a TDK D46 tape, layout looks exactly like the pics above.
Sound is much better than the bootlegs and even the sucky Demon Entrails.

In 1996 or 1997, Erich Keller (Fear Of God, partly Hellhammer roadie) sold big parts of his Metal collection. He made a small ad in the German Rock Hard magazine. So I wrote a couple of times+phoned him, and then I bought that demo, but as I was a student at that time, I couldn't afford more. Man, he sold some nice shit...

Mine's a TDK too, bought it late 90's from a German bloke. I was never too sure about its authenticity (and didn't pay that much for it) although it looked like the real deal. Maybe I was lucky after all.

The sound is full and heavy, while on Demon Entrails it's rather hissy and thin. It's a live demo sure, but recorded on a 8-tracker. I assume Demon Entrails was taken from 2nd or 3rd generation dubs.

Same for Satanic Rites, compare any 80ies bootleg (mastered early on from the original) to the sound on Demon Entrails.

Maybe someone can verify this too. I can make out the part where they discuss Band t-shirts.

There is also a rehearselpart for some old tracks too go with it but I haven't uploaded it yet.

"Mach kein Scheiß Mike"...seems to be a rehearsal from the later era before they quit (Summer 83??).

I also recognized that "band-shirt" talking, but couldn't really figure out that exactly they are talking about.
