Any pedal marketed at one sector of the musical market is destined for failure. Pedals should be made from TONE upwards, not fashion or genre. I like fuzz pedals as I mainly play doom, but you can get a very distinct and heavy sound with a pedal as basic as the Boss HM2. You're as heavy as you're playing is. A wiser man than myself once said: "Good tone comes from the fingers"

regarding fx86, I have one of that back then. bought it because of the carcass tone in the leaflet. that shit roars like hell and it indeed sounded like the tone from heartwork but the switch is way off! It simply got broke and there's no way to fix it, you SHOULD buy a new one instead and that was stupid!

this one got a nice switch, the sound on youtube suck but $95 bucks wouldn't hurt! seriously, limited to 666 copies??? LOL

I use this pedal for bass distortion, combined with my amp i can make something very similar sounding to Hellhammer/Celtic Frost. Ive also used it with a guitar before and it doesn't sound half-bad.

That Black Metal Pedal is hilarious.

Looks like we are on Harmony Central forum...

Who needs pedals anyway? Buy a great amp so that there's no need to boost it.

I recently bought a used Framus Cobra (throught VHT cab), best thing I've played. Have tons of gain, more than I could use, and of course a killer tone.

We should make a gear thread, thought about it but believed it was the wrong place.

if theres an interior decorating thread i dont see the problem with a gear thread.. but who knows. ive had a couple of threads deleted because they didnt have much to do with metal.. another "misc discussion" board wouldnt be a bad idea.. but i dont run the board.

to quote the reviews of harmony central:
-"I would buy 3 more. They are a limited addition ya know. "
-"This pedal is only meant for a collectors item and not for new metal sounds, but that is why i enjoy it very much. "

It'll make its way to ebay very soon.

The Digitech Death Metal pedal kicks ass. I use 6 different pedals in my chain though, I need them for my experimental crap.
