haha... yeah this thread is bring back a lot of nostalgia. grabbed a swath of my collection from 1998~2002

Some of the ones I haven't pulled out in ages but should more often

Cryptopsy - Whipser Supremacy (everyone hated the new singer at the time but I still think he is great)
Azarath - Demon Seed
Abhorrence - Evoking The Abomination (very much the same lines are Reballiun)
Corpsevomit - Raping The Ears of those Above (weird but killer)
Deep Red - Prophetic Luster
Descerebration - Underground Victory (the bass playing on this album is so good)
Dew of Nothing - Doubleweird (yes, weird.. but great)
Divine Empire - Redemption (Nice early Malevolent/hate plow vibe going on)
Hate - Lord Is Avenger (straight forward florida flavored DM the polish way)
In Battle - Rage of the Northmen (fuck I love this album)
Incantation - Diabolical Conquest (My favorite Incant album by a long way)
Dim Mak - Enter the Dragon (haha... its no Ripping Corpse, but fuck you I like it anyway)
Drawn and Quartered - To Kill is Human (does the trick)
Iniquity - Five Across the Eyes
Necrophagist - Onset of Putrefaction (!!!)
Sleep - Jerusalem (Bwaaaahhhhhh bwahhhh bwahhh yeah!)
Vile - Stench of the Deceased
Chemical Disaster - Scraps of a Being (awesome)
Damnation - Resist (All of their material is so killer)
Destroyer666 - Phoenix Rising (My intro to them and still my fave; Lone Wolf Winter!)
Origin - Origin (This album rules so hard)
Psycroptic - Isle of Disenchantment (still holds up)
Commit Suicide - Human Larvae (one of the wave of Willowtip bands that popped up)
Kalibas - Product of hard living (Another Willowtip band... )
Human Remains - Where were you When comp (killer)

Le Scrawl!

Spawn of possession, Witchmaster

good times...

Just randomly remembered Panzerchrist-Soul Collector. That was a fun album at the time. Haven't listened to it in about a decade lol.

Listening to Ravenous by God Dethroned. Not sure if I like the band, but Tony's performance is solid and FAST.

I forgot about Dies Irae from Poland. Immolated was a good album that was more enjoyable than Vader's offerings at the time minus Litany.

Pretty much all is mentioned. I'll add DEATH OF MILLIONS - Frozen. It was not popular, but a very good record...

I much prefer the more blackened material on "The Grand Grimoire" and "Bloody Blasphemy" tbh.

I'll check them out.

I just read an interview with Rob from Nox, where he said the first 300 copies of Blood, Bones and Ritual Death came with a "special surprise". Does anybody know what that was?

Drawn and Quartered don't fit too well with the late 90s blastastic bands to me. Killer band though. Just got into them recently and am lamenting my late arrival to the cognoscenti.

Great thread - some classic material was released in this era.

Re: the discussion about the best Hate Eternal - it has to be CtT hands down.
