WHat is the consensus on this "band". I saw em in Richmond last night and they smoked. Apparently it's a one man operation with hired guns for live shows, but the album "A spell for the death of man" (which I picked up after their set) is fucking mean as shit. Honestly I don't think I had heard the name until yesterday or if I did it was in and out of my ears, but I was duely impressed. I'm unsure on how well the name has gotten out there.

We played with them in NJ in October. I did not catch but around half their set, but I got a Nachtmystiumish indie rock/BM vibe. I may be completely off base though. I also have not heard them on record. Late that night after the gig though, one of their members said 'bye' to me and it caught me a little off guard, as I did not know him at all. Turns out he was talking to the dude behind me. I felt like a complete tool. Thanks WOE.

That isn't entirely off base I guess. It has a "rockin" vibe at some points. No more so than a band like Dodsferd but well executed and tasteful and on the brink of going off the tracks. I think the main dudes (singer/guitar) appearance might give you that vibe as well because he does look a little "nerdy"(I have a suspicion that may be the case with many of the people on this board) but I get a feeling he genuinely hates most things. He left with 14 of my dollars for a split 7" and a cd though. You can't hate that. I'm a convert.

heard the cd, didn't impress me much after one listen. Seemed like pretty standard stuff. I will go back to it sooner or later.

Picked this album up last week. Pretty solid release; nothing too new but very enjoyable.

Really good band, in my opinion. Haven't seen them live yet but that album (what i've heard...i ordered a copy, haven't received it yet) was excellent.

Yeah, this band is pretty good and sadly underrated.

Like the words of Keanu Reeves, all I can say is "Woe!"

fucking ay. It looks as if they are picking up the pace on the live and touring schedule so I think the word will spread for them pretty quickly, that cd fucking rages.
