When I first saw that Emperor t shirt, I was wondering if someone would buy it. Even with an awesome artwork like this one, those kind of shirts always make me laugh.

But the Absurd sweater is really good looking.

I totally agree. I realise there is never an appropriate age or BMI to pull off an allover print. It's a step away from a tie dye or wolf tshirt. So it was purchased for fun rather than serious kvlting.

That said i do hope they gave a stern ticking off to whoever designed, set up the screens and printed these - the design is way too small to cover the sleeves.

The reason why there is "art" missing on the sleeves because the shirt is most likely a sublimation print, not a screen print. Hence it is on a white shirt that is a poly or poly blend. Sublimation does not work on black or dark garments. It is basically a high tech transfer. I can go into the details but would bore you to death. But their machine was not an AOP (all over print, or in this case transfer) machine and hence stopped at the sleeves. Looks weird.

^^Interesting, thanks for the input. When i have time i'll read up some more on that. The shirt is really soft and feels like cotton but i don't have it here to check. I cut the sleeves off some time ago, but still haven't worn it yet. As it was it certainly looked daft and like something had gone wrong when it was made. It's also different from the orignal flyer about 3 pages back that does indeed state sublimation print.

Yeah, no problem. I have been in the print world for a long time and have seen a lot of trends come and go. The Affliction / Ed Hardy lines took it to a whole other level but now it seems to be tapering off. The print shops that bought the specialty equipment for it had to have massive "contract" clients to justify the expense. Want to talk serious money? You could buy a house for an AOP screen print press. Not the transfer machines but the real presses.

This is the version of Hammerbolt production, not Misanthropic Intolerance.
