it's very raw but you can make everything out. they sort of combined the riff styles of disciple of the heinous path and let the devil in.
a try before i buy as usual with most every album but i will probably end up buying it. i've never heard a bad album released by WTC.

The sample sounds kinda dull, but still enjoyable. I hope their will be better songs on the full length.

i have read that people who received the promo cd mentioned it was not like let the devil in.

Like it's possible to hear on the sample, soundwise it is certainly more in the way of the first two full-lenghts.

Sample track sounds decent.

The sample doesn't sound normal. What are those gaps in the waveform? It almost sounds as if they lowered the sample rate of the track or something; or unless that's just the way it is...???

Pretty good album, kind of a mix between all their stuff, both for songwriting and production. It's not as melodic and catchy as LTDI and the riffs are not as modernly produced.

You're completely right. I can't hear shit on that sample. Everything sounds muffled.

Sounds good to me, although I think I'm the only one who felt LTDI was a dropoff from the previous albums.

It's WTC that's releasing it. New song sounds okay but I wish they had for went for the same production as Let the devil in very hard to make out what's going on in that song hopefully the album sounds a lot better.

Not at all. I, like some others here, feel the same. SBD and THP are way better.
What puzzles me is why Satanic Black Devotion has NOT been re-released like The Heinous Path. It's quite rare and highly sought-after so I wonder what's stopping its re-release. Even a pic-LP would be better than no vinyl re-release at all.

Is there a reason for this or just...?

It was already released as a picture LP when the black version was released which limited to 100. Disciple was released as a limited splatter and black vinyl and the reissue was a picture disc so that could be the reason.

Yeah I'm also a bit disappointed by this preview track, I'll still check the full album (as SBD is one of the top bm albums from Finland) and hope it's something more innovative. Production sounded good but what bothers me in the artwork pic is the hand in motion. Guess he's feeding the crawling shadows ....
