He watched it on bluray. It was mostly made for cinema imo, if you watch it on a TV it loses lots of the impact. _________________ Taphephobia Productions |

I gave the bluray viewing the same rating as my 3D cinema viewing as I really didn't lose a lot on the small (60") screen in 3d.
i gave it an 8/10 simply because there was no real story (just a situation) and there were some very questionable physics.

Why did Bullock's character have to cut Clooney's character loose? What was "pulling" him? They were outside of the Earth's atmosphere and in a zero g environment so wouldn't any motion require a direct action to create momentum? They seemed to have it right with the jet pack so why not here? Regardless of the flaws the visuals and score were enough for me to really enjoy the film and warrant a purchase after seeing it twice in the cinema. _________________ Slackmovies - My lame movie blog! |

Been on a huge Terry Gilliam kick lately, saw for the first time Brazil and The Fisher King, as well as rewatched 12 Monkeys. Probably going to rewatch Time Bandits as well. Excellent stuff. |

brazil is my second favorite movie of all time since i was about 13 years old, my favorite movie since then is the thin red line.
both haven't changed spots and its been nearly 13 years.
i did a rewatch of the fisher king a few weeks ago, ive gotta be in a certain mood for that one but when i am it's great. robin williams drama movies rule.
i just did a rewatch of the lord of the rings movies, directly after watching all the game of thrones seasons and man... i just dont like lord of the rings very much anymore... so many things about it are very annoying. _________________
martire would fuck bolzer face with spear through back of head.
|

The Thin Red Line is good but I'd take Platoon or Private Ryan over it. |

BRAZIL is just one big dystopian mindfuck, pure claustrophobia like in a feverish nightmare.
It's also Terry Gilliam's best movie by far. |

No offense man but dial it down a notch and stop acting like a 15 year old with his head up his ass. There is a difference between having a civil disagreement and just being a cunt |
