to SUCK at the highest level.

I have noticed every January for the last 5 years that not only does Media Mail take a bit longer, but First Class and "Priority" mail also arrives late.
Waiting on 3 packages right now that I should have had already.
I love the "Holiday" excuse in mid month.

Oh well. It could be worse. I could live in Italy and not get my packages at all. HA!

I never bother to use First Class/Priority at all. So far, the delivery times have been almost the same compared to media mail within the US.

^especially when the place is relatively close. they really need to fix that - i do like getting media mail stuff in 2 days but it makes no sense at all.

all my media mail orders recently, and there've been about ten, have gotten to me in the usual amount of time. no delays here.

i am however still waiting on a record from germany allegedly sent 4 weeks ago (i've received stuff from germany and the EU since then too...) but that's different, i think.

To the OP, your problem with slow mail likely has a lot to do with your location, anything going to or passing through the NYC/NJ area adds a least a day or 2 regardless of whether it's priority or media mail. I often get packages from NWN quicker than ones that have to be processed through there (aka almost anything from New England).

That record doesn't happen to be the Häxan reissue? The wait has been unusually long here as well. On the other hand, I guess the excitement makes the wait even longer.

That's not it, as far as I know postage is going up before the end of January. From what I heard probably around $0.05.

Right around the holidays I received a media mail parcel from San Rafael, CA to Minneapolis, MN in 2 days. Couldn't believe it.

I'm also still waiting for mine, although here in Canada.
