This looks cool but I don't really feel I need it - I am really hopeful they do a reissue of The Dunwich Horror OST. Now that would be hella sweet!!

STILL up!
http://www.mondotees.com/Halloween-2XLP_p_1238.html

I bet they made 1000 instead of 500, huh?
I always miss getting the original H1 vinyl on Ebay, so I had to get this.

Anyone know how many were made on Orange? On Black?

Thanks

Jealous! I got the black. Awesome release, highly recommend! Think they're still available somehow...

Not that big a fan of the "Halloween" score myself

It basically consists of just two endlessly looped melodies throughout the whole movie. No clue why people need to buy this in record-format.
I've always loved the melody myself, but I agree with this.

When a label outside the realm of metal uses the phrase 'limited', it usually means at least 1,000 copies, sometimes more.

I mean, it's even being stocked by Amazon.

According to this ( http://www.discogs.com/John-Carpenter-Halloween/release/5124749 ), 'Version B' was pressed to 1,000 copies, so I would guess the regular version is many thousands of copies.

A little further research and the number 6,000 is being thrown around as a possible amount for the entire press. Not sure if that included 'Version B' or not but yeah, it's not that limited, but good on them for understanding the demand.

6000 would be A LOT for Mondo, their most ever I'd gather.
Pretty much all of the other releases from them were 500 or 1000.
Glad I got an orange Smile

I received black. I have yet to receive color from Mondo. Not a big deal but it'd be a nice surprise.

Maybe the rights owner/licensor wanted a huge amount of money so Mondo had to press the shit out of it or the rights owner said they had to press a specific amount or something?

I read a post from another soundtrack label that some rights owners limit the amount that can be pressed or how many pressings can be done.
