Yo I didn't think Flight was a good movie by any means, but seeing John Goodman with a pony tail and Denziel in ultra drunk dad mode watching home videos and falling down was awesome.

I have been watching a lot of shite unfortunately: Murder set pieces...more like murder shit pieces. Terrible. I fell asleep several times towards the end. It wasn't even funny shit...

I swear I must be the only person on Earth that really likes this movie. It's so bad that's it's fantastic.
The gore is great, and the main character is like a living, breathing Reiner Wolfcastle from The Simpsons ! Seriously, watch it again, but imagine that it's McBain and it's a much better film.
There are some really funny lines in it like when he tells the young girl that women suck the blood from men every day, but at the end of the month some of it leaks out Laughing
I also love it when he's getting head from the decapitated head in his car, then throws it out the window and yells "PIG!!!" at it Laughing

I'm gonna have to watch it again soon.

I mostly thought it was trying so hard to be shocking and outrageous that I just got bored, hence falling asleep several times! I'll give that technique a go another time though..!

My brother's friend, Jim Mickle, directed this. He's supposedly a rising young talent in the horror genre. Haven't seen it myself but it's said to be pretty good.

Stake Land is neat and recommended.

If you didn't already find it and you are a subscriber "The Iceman" is now on Netflix.

Excellent. Thanks. Last night I revisited one of my favorite horror movies of all time "The Night Flier". It never loses it's charm.

saw Out of the Furnace last night. I thought it ruled, in the same way that Prisoners was solid. Bleak, brooding, and beautifully shot. Worth it just for Woody Harrelson's grimy character.

Watched some spike lee movies (Do the right thing, clockers, inside man) and Fresh yesterday, hadn't watched those for many moons, except Inside Man. they still hold up. day before that I was watching Godzilla movies (ghidorah and mecha Godzilla) and horrible late 90s movies like the haunting and the skulls - if you have any more terrible late 90s movie suggestions I'd like to hear them. the haunting was pretty entertaining in its stupidity - I hadn't seen that one since it was in theaters, and the skulls I hadn't seen since it was on pay per view 13 years ago.

also I rewatched There Will Be Blood when I was ridiculously f'd up one morning in mid October and it was really gripping - from midway through on, when it becomes more of a character study than a historical drama, it is one of the most amazing movies ever made. bought it on bluray after that. great movie.
