Check this out:

I'm excited as fuck but also feel this is kinda sketchy. Apparently, tickets are only available on "Russian Hotline" and this show isn't on Music Hall of Williamsburg's website nor Ticketmaster's. I just e-mailed Bowery Presents (owner of the venue) to verify this show. I hope this is legit!

Yeah it is sketchy, ill wait till the last minute because there is no way I'm trusting the Russian hotline. Same thing happened with Baron Rojo years ago, tickets only available thru some sort of Spanish hotline and me and omid went down to the venue in queens day of the show no trusting to buy advance
Tickets and as expected baron Rojo was a no show and people got burned.

From Mike Leonard, who works at The Bowery Presents:

Quote:
Its a private event which is why its not on our site, but it is legitimate, and that is where the tickets are being sold

Never will I ever trust a site like "Russian Hotline" so going to the venue the day-of it is!

Tickets are $55 on the website and $65 at the door. I realize that it would cost a lot for them to come to the US for a single show, but this whole thing reeks of a scam. I doubt they could sell out the venue even if the show was well advertised, so why would they want to make it a private event? If it actually happens though, that will be awesome!

After a little bit of searching it seems like this is actually going to happen. There are two more North American shows on Aria's website.

Nov 30 -- Cambridge, MA -- Middle East Downstairs (Facebook event page)
Dec 1 -- Toronto, ON -- The Opera House (Facebook event page)

The organizer of these shows successfully brought Пикник (Piknik) to North America last year. Tickets for the Toronto show are through another sketchy site, but tickets for the Cambridge show can be purchased on TicketWeb at this link: http://www.ticketweb.com/t3/sale/SaleEventDetail?dispatch=loadSelectionData&eventId=3734404&pl=mideastclub

this would be a perfect excuse to visit friends on the east coast I haven't seen in awhile. The fact that it's so close to the holidays means it probably wont happen though. Fingers crossed for a Chicago date to be added! Not sure how many times in your life you'll get the chance to see Aria live.
