A lot of it is too fruity for my taste. |
You're going to have a difficult time wading through prog then.

Fantasia- S/T
fucking great, and was finally reissued a couple years back. this was extremely hard to find/expensive to obtain in the states previously. not sure how closely it relates to Tarkus, just a great Finnish prog band regardless!

Svart will release alot of cult/hard to find finnish prog in future. Cant wait! |
Nice! my finnish pal picked up this Fantasia S/T for me a couple years back... definitely not a Svart release, but regardless, the Svart reissues have been KILLING me lately. so good! really nice job they did on the Kaaos reissue EP. I was also extremely pleased with all the Kollaa Kestaa reissues, along with Musta Paraati too. seriously, whoever is at the helm over there, or calling the shots, has some EXTREMELY good taste. I'll try to keep an eye out for these Prog reissues too. I'm guessing based off past reissues, whatever it is, it will be good
Atleast these should be coming:
Tabula Rasa:Tabula Rasa LP
Blues Section: Blues Section LP
Pohjalla LP
Tasavallan Presidentti: Tasavallan Presidentti LP
Magyar: Uusiin maisemiin LP
Kari Peitsamo: Kari Peitsamo ja Ankkuli LP
Maarit: Maarit LP
Wigwam: Fairyport 2LP
Tasavallan Presidentti: Lambertland LP
Tabula Rasa: Ekkedien tanssi LP
Kristiina Halkola: Täytyy uskaltaa LP
Wigwam: Being LP
Kaseva: Silloin kun LP
Tasavallan Presidentti: Milky Way Moses LP
Widows: Overscrupulous 7"
Wigwam Hard N' Horny LP

M.A. Numminen: Taisteluni LP
Pekka Pohjola Pihkasilmä kaarnakorva LP
Eero Koivistoinen Quartet: Labyrinth LP
Pekka Pohjola Harakka Bialoipokku LP
Nova: Atlantis LP
@ YK. of course Yes is fruity as hell... this goes without saying. hopefully you didnt pay more than $3 a pop for this stuff |

I've never been too into Tull but Yes is something that might not hit you immediately and requires more repeated listens. Especially Fragile, where there's so much going on all the time. It's worth the effort mate. These aren't immediate records |

You could do worse than going backwards and giving The Nice a listen. Some of it has more of a 60s pop sensibility, but Keith Emerson's work on the keys is unmistakable.

Came to reply with many of these same RPI bands, very good suggestions, especially Alphataurus and Osanna, real favourites of mine. |

"Heldon IV/Agnetta Nillson" totally fucked up synth madness, borders on dark ambient almost. _________________ www.contagionreleasing.com |
