I think some songs are totally evil and insane sounding, 1984 version of Voyage to Hell, 1988 Electroshock from Ash EP, etc...

But most songs are more mystical and evil. And some just sound just completely insane.

Got these today, also very pleased with the presentation, lots of attention was given to details.
And, according to Marco from Markuee, there will be more PC re-issues Smile

The news seem to have come out without much attention, but all these 4 albums have been reissued on vinyl as well a couple of months ago. Life and Death as well as Whited Sepulchres have been released via Svart Records, Alkahest and In the Darkness by Markuee (Minotauro).

Incredible news if you ask me, particularly In the Darkness as it is quite rare and the rip available for download is of shitty quality. And finally the first albums to see a vinyl reissue. I can't wait to get my hands on Alkahest too! And I haven't even listened to Whited Sepulchres yet, how's that album like? Anyway I bought all 4, couldn't resist... But 20 euros for a 1LP and 25 for a 2LP is quite expensive... good thing the shipping is cheap. I wonder about the packaging though.

HHR got some Svart copies and should get the Markuee ones shortly.

Whited Sepulchres is largely a jammy record. It's ok for what it is, but it's mostly instrumental improv stuff. Just focused more on rock rather than ambient and keyboards like most of his improv CDs.

Interesting, I pretty much liked Vivid Eyes in the Dark so it should be up my alley. Your avatar reminds me, it's taken from Opera Decima right? How is this one? I only could hear one track and it was pretty much only the same electronic bit repeated for 8 minutes with little variation. And it's a 2cd/3lp album...

Yeah. It's his worst album along with Emisphere. Both are mostly instrumental keyboard crap with little to no structure. I bought them mainly for collection purposes. Violet Art is another improv one, but seems to be fairly structured. I like that album.

Shame. I'm really interesting in hearing Violet Art of Improvisation from what I could hear on youtube. Even the 30 minute track sounds cool from the half we can listen there. Unfortunately the 2LP is very expensive.

As far as I know Paul Chain (who was - and maybe still is - behind Minotauro/Karkuee) want to re-release all his stuff on CD, so expect also reissues of "Violet art of improvisation" Double CD, "Opera Decima" Double CD, "King of the dream/Ash/Highway to hell (Picture disc)" CD, "Mirror/Les temps du grand frere/Klein Circus/Red light/Sangue" CD...I don't know if they will be released as the original releases (double CD sets and compilation gathering singles, eps, mini, split 7") or they will be reissued as single editions

I heard he also want to reissue the mammoth "Relative tapes" 7xCDr on a regular CD edition, though 6 songs were included on the 2010 reissue of "Detaching from Satan" and "Opera IV"....that would be a great news but I doubt it will be released as a 7-CD box...it would cost a fortune...probably it will be splitted in several single releases
