Going in a week and a few days for two weeks.

Also wondering what to look for regionally that might not be making to distros: metal, noise, etc. Obviously, I will be scouring the bins for NWOBHM.

Reckless Records in Soho might have a few good records. Scored Watain - Casus Luciferi first press for 20 pounds.

Scored some surprising things (Thorr's Hammer, among others) at the HMV near Soho. Also, there's one or two small record shops that had some vinyl gems on Baysward Road, in between Queensway and Notting Hill Gate tube stations. Mind you, this was 2010, things might've changed.

It is mostly shit for metal as most shops have no idea about it. Lots of Rock-A-Rolla magazine type beard & drone metal.

Like people have said, go to Berwick Street. Down there you have Sister Ray records, Reckless records and the Music Video Exchange. The last two are second hand places. You might get lucky and find something but the last few times has been crap.

Alternately, On The Floor Records in Camden has a decent selection of newer DM/BM releases (Me Saco, dark descent, Blood Harvest type releases) and some 2nd hand stuff in the basement.

happy hunting and have fun!

a few second hand shops are in Camden, good finds occasionally. You may be interested in this gig if you are around for it

A lot of record shops closed down over the years. Might be interested in checking this out.

Sister Ray is mentioned in the film.
I still go to those 3 shops in Berwick Street every now and then.
Although I hardly buy anything, I picked up Nattfog and Forest in the past.
There are decent amount of NWOBHM vinyl in Music Exchange shop usually.
It's only a chance if you come across with something you are after wherever you go. Good luck.
