find one or two tracks on that lou reed record intresting.
real dark montonous mantra tune with weird reed singing (?)

but all in all, Metallica is far away from me, maybe they are the Real Madrid of Metal ...

getting too many musicians from Trauma, Exodus, Flotsam and Jetsam, ...

Metallica can still play the old songs very well. .

On the "Big Four" blu ray/dvd, they play quite a few of the classics way too fast..... Creeping Death especially is totally butchered by the sped up tempo and James' obnoxious "whoayeahyeaheeaaaayaaayaas" at the end of every line of lyrics. Was this faster tempo just an anomaly, maybe ? Can't say I'm well versed in modern Metallica live performances.

I'll probably check out the new one at some point. I only heard Death Magnetic in the past year or two, and was quite surprised by it. It's not exactly a classic, but after getting used to the vocals, I think it's a pretty solid album.

Bump Motherfuckers...looks like a new record in 2014. Is everyone Hopeful or Fearful? Last record wasn't great though it was a big step in the right direction at least. Fingers crosses.

I find it hard to understand someone who says they don't check out many new bands, but bothers to listen to newer Metallica stuff.

You don't understand how someone who has been into Metallica for 20-30 years would at least be curious about their new output, despite not wanting to check out every new band (ie, listen to a billion dime-a-dozen bands on youtube)? lol
