haha.

What's wrong with the basque politicians hanging their own flags during the debates? the socialists are morons, and they are obviously trying to mock their pride and heritage, its what every leftist party knows how to do best. Everyone knows in Spain different parts of the countries have their own flags, traditions, etc, catalanes, gallegos, andaluces, basque.. so what's the problem?

I think it could also be pretty stupid to publicly mock and antagonize ETA...

I grew up on the French side of Euskadi (Basque Country).

There is a grindcore band in the Donostia area called Iron Batasuna, who are into both Maiden and Basque separatism... They sure wouldn't know where to stand during those dabates. Smile

How does the french part get along with the Spanish side? I wonder if people in Pamplona get along better with the Spaniards or the basques in the french region...

I've always been interested in learning more about the Basque Country, as one my closest friends is from Bilbao and I like to see how the Athletic Club fare in La Liga each week too! I'm keen to know more about the French side of it, as for a long time I associated it more with Spain.

Trying to keep this thread metal then; Maiden sucks nowadays.

Yeah, hopefully they'll stay in first division this year too, last year was a scare. I don't think they'll ever get anywhere with their philosophy of only basque players in the team.
