dear NK7,
If you're looking for well played, yet raw BM with some melodic lines, no keys, and some entertaining variation of tempi and good songwriting, yet with total undergroundish values (?) then please do yourself the favour and check out the mighty PREVALENT RESISTANCE's first two albums.
I think they combine the best of all the behexen/baptism/sargeist BM that defines the second wave finish BM so much.
Then check out LITURGIA's (Fin) 7" and of course MGLA.
sincerly

Ugh really? The griminess of his vocals was essential to Hell Militia imo. That sample with the new guy isn't bad but it isn't the band that I got into either. Especially black arts of crime, fuck man, never play that song live again. |

Flagellant (Swe)
and Chaos Invocation (yeah, they're from Germany, but don't be a retard and give them a listen regardless)

What is "pretentious" in Negative Plane? He did also asked for "modern-but-still-oldschool stuff built on strong riffs and played by proper musicians" and Negative Plane is IMO quite well executed with songs having more real riffs and twists than most other nowadays bands. _________________ Heavy Metal Nuts

Good question. I've never seen anything pretentious about them at all. They're just a solid fucking band. |

Yeah, I never thought of Negative Plane as pretentious. They are definitely doing something unique with the genre but not to the point of being excessive. |

I don't see the deal about Rahu. Immensely boring IMO.
I second Numinous, Acrimonious, Nightbringer, Katharsis, Flagellant and Svartidauši.
Check out Sect and Psalm 666 from Russia (not pagan fairies)
