Thread would be way better if it were about Fowley.

Yeah, I'd rather talk about how awesome King Fowley is as well.

I quite like 'Love' it's good, Dark, folksy pop that makes for easy listening, i really wouldn’t call it neo folk though, parts of it remind me a little of the Lonesome Wyatt & Rachel brook album. But it could honestly do without all that occult symbolism.

It's funny how when many metalheads hear a guy singing softly with an acoustic guitar all they can think of is NEOFOLK OMG Di6!!

Whn clearly King Dude is not neofolk and has nothing to do with that scene but he's just part of the 10 years old lo-fi folk/indie folk/anti folk movement.

And yeah Aurora Borealis is a very cool label with interesting stuffs like Burial Hex and Dead Raven Choir and other dark and metal related stuffs with an experimental/noise/psychedelic twist

It is reminiscent of DIJ. It has nothing to do with it being acoustic music.

Yeah, not sure what that other cunt has heard, but if you don't think this sounds blatantly Death In June, then you either don't listen to much of them or have shit in between yer ears.

That Joey guy of King Dude is totally into extreme metal. He's even running around with Archgoat, Blasphemy & Diocletian patches. When he was DJing earlier this month at 8mm bar in Berlin he only played stuff like that too.

So everone can relax now. They're true worshippers of the goat and you're allowed to listen to them. Chris Moyen would approve Laughing

Sounds like a cool dude!!! And I dont hate this band/artist because of a hipster following but because its hyped novelty thats been done before or similar and not even close to being as good. But people here praise Ghost and think Repugnants album is better than Left Hand Path so...

I'm a very open minded guy but I'm having a hard time even working up the effort to Google the music because the name is so gay....

I really thought it was like, a fat dude like Meatloaf or something.....

This!! Like I mentioned before if you like DiJ then enjoying King Dude for the sole purpose of sonic pleasure is not that off base. I whole heartedly agree about the ridiculous name though. It put me off for quite sometime.
