Saw the thread about Diablo 2 and I had to make a post about another classic PC game favorite.
I'm sure alot are gonna remember the days of this game. Steam was the shit... When i discovered Team Fortress the days consisted of energy drinks, hot pockets, and the occasional get up to take a piss.
Other addictions were Adrenaline gamer, Vampire slayer, DoD, counterstrike.. etc.
Feel free to join in this nostalgia. |

| Ehh for me there was only Unreal Tournament '99 edition. Especially the instagib mod was a lot of fun to play. |

When I think of the "classic" days of Half Life I think pre-Steam from 1999-2002. I didn't catch onto Steam until 2005-2006, but had been playing both Half Life and HL2 for years before that. In 2011 I played through most of Half Life, held up pretty well. Last year I played Black Mesa (Half Life "fan-mod" recreated using HL2 Episode 2 quality graphics), and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Hopefully the rest of Black Mesa will come out sometime this year, I'd like to play the Xen levels because I hated playing them on the original game. _________________ Good sellers/traders: metalmac, greenmonster, Transcendence, GoldenBull, Paria

This. I played DoD almost since the beginning and I only stopped when the source appeared. Man, I fucking loved that game. _________________ Ides sofrer como cães!

Best PC game ever. I am proud of the QA work I did on that and the rest of the Valve games that were under the Sierra umbrella _________________ Gravemusic.com - My metal site!

| The They Hunger mods were cool also. Always thought there was going to be a Source version released. |

Half Life came out in 1998 so Steam was but a thought in some engineer's subconscious.
It was good though. Gotta love the sound of that .357! This game is pretty much responsible for bringing heavily scripted events into FPS games. I didn't even have a 3D accelerator (yeah, remember those?) at the time so I was running the damn thing on software.
Those stupid ninjas were annoying. _________________ §:-«l |

| one of the best first person shooters with actually interesting storyline. half life 2 was very good as well! played original CS since the first version and even played the new Global offensive some months ago. Also played the shit out of DoD! "They hunger" mod made me almost shit my pants. |

Not sure. I guess there are still people playing UT online, but you'll have to find the active servers. I think a lot of those servers are private. |

Quake was superior in most ways. Seriously twisted, dark, medieval atmosphere, genuinely quite scary at times and really difficult. _________________
