| It's safe to trade/buy, but don't expect any sellers on eBay to grade records properly at all. I have a bunch of Cogumelo/Woodstock/etc. that were graded as VG and above, but were totally warped/dirty/etc. Hopefully things have improved. |

I will also add.. registered mail does not mean shit!
All it really does is intimidate postal thieves or minimize postal negligence.
Even if you have full tracking and it shows "delivered" you can still have someone claim it was never delivered. Or the tracking may never get updated and always says "in transit" for 3 months! Registered mail is not full protection. If you ever need to get your money back it's still a huge issue! You have to file a claim with the post office.. wait longer... and then you don't even get your full money back! I had a registered package valued at $50 and I only got $30-something back from the USPS. Took months to get that cash back after I filed the claim.
@ original thread starter... are you more concerned over the actual buyer in Brazil? Or is your concern with the postal system? |

| I want to know: How do people outside of Brazil pay for purchases they make with record dealers? I was checking some of the Paypal guidelines and it says that sending payments in the Brazilian currency is only available for Brazilian members. |

Postal system first.
And people's reliability second. Not buyer but people who handle the post. |

My price is in GBP so he will have to pay in GBP converted by Paypal from his currency. |

| Sorry to jack your thread for a bit, I was asking a general question and what I meant was: How would a person that lives outside of Brazil go about paying for purchases they make with a Brazilian record dealer? What would generally be the payment options? I'm just curious in case for the future. |

Did 2 trades with different guys from Brazil.
Got ripped off both times.
Sold a 7‘‘ to brazil.
Got paypal-ripped off (even though tracking said it arrived)
So: probably not save - but as stated it‘s a big country - maybe i just ran into the wrong people. _________________ TRADES/SALES ->here<-

One year ago I sold my Immortal Diabolical picture disc to Wagner Lamounier and everything went fine.
I highly encourage having deals with Brazilians, especially if they speak broken English and communication proves to be hard from the very beginning. Just make sure to send your part of the deal first and unregistered, else they might perceive you don't trust them enough. _________________ Thread derailed

I've been ripped off three times (one wasn't Metal related but still) and it was all by Americans. I had to rethink my No selling to SA/Mexico becuaseI haven't had a problem with those people or countries. Takes a fuck load of time to get anything from/to there but if its registered you're covered as far as paypal is concerned. They changed their policy recently and as long as you have a tracking number that shows the item was signed for, you're good. _________________

Got ripped for around 100 USD once, through egay and jewpal by a brazilian fuckhead. I sent the parcel, had the tracking number, the fucker made a claim that he didn't receive the stuff (like 3 days after it was sent), paypal asked me for proof, the cheque was shown and they refunded him! _________________ Tradelist |
