This album is ruined by the retarded intros on almost every track of the album... such a pity they weren't separated as independent tracks on the CD. |
I think I'm the only person who actually enjoyed the intros.
Good album, regardless. |
"Mistaken for Dead" is also killer. Criminally underrated band. _________________ Permabanned |

that being said, old MA, Obituary, Deicide, Death, etc. were good.
still prefer Sunlight above all. would love to hear a band like Deicide with Sunlight-style production. |
How do you qualify such a comment? World Downfall is perfect. Bands have good and bad studio experiences. Talking as though a studio can suck the life out of a band is absurd. |
There may be some truth in that, towards the end, more than a few bands came out of morrisound with uninspired, xeroxed product. Was that the studio's fault or the band's?
Terrorizer, however, was not one of those bands. What a farcical statement. Are you telling me you were a massive Terrorizer fan pre-WD? And you were let down by how lifeless it sounded in comparison to the demos? Hmmmm.... _________________ http://thykindreddreamers.blogspot.co.uk/ |

Whats unbeleiveable? I prefer something in sound that developed in Europe. Simple as that. |
I resuse to believe you don't like classic Malevolent Creation, Deicide, Napalm Death, Atheist etc |
I'm not about to go on some rant how these bands suck or something stupid like that, but none of these acts really place on my favourites radar. I just simply prefer a different style of music. |

Nope, thanks for posting this, great stuff indeed.
Someone should dig up the less known bands of the genre, there was plenty of them mentioned in the thank lists of the classic albums from '92-93. I don't have the lp here with me but I seem to remember Tomb of the Mutilated included one such list. I'm sure there are quite a few forgotten gems there. _________________ Permabanned |

It's also interesting that this whole style/sound was derided by lots of 'scene people' - and not just Norwegian superheroes - at the time as being unoriginal and too polished/soft.
It became the trendy thing to be anti-morrisound/burns/roadracer, and the likes of Brutality were fake weaklings while the real hard cunts were stepping out in t-shirts of true bands like Cradle of Filth and Satyricon.
Now, when you consider the vacuum-packed shit that makes up 99% of brutal death metal, most 'normal' death metal and quite a lot of black metal, it's probably a good time to revisit a record like "Considered Dead", "Deicide" or "Beneath the Remains" and appreciate just how good the production really is.
And how fucking vicious.

Do you know if this is a physical release or computer-only?
Also, just curious, do you guys own The Essence? I wanted to buy that awhile back (one of those albums I'd always heard OF but never HEARD) but I only saw it once or twice, and it was always like $100! For 4 songs on cd! Fuck that. They supposedly had a live album too, although I've never seen it. _________________ Good deals with: Numerator41, addison, deathsleep, witch sermon, xyosefx, invinCIBility (4X), Weltbrand (2X), DrkKnight, K-mart (2X), drinks, LifeDepraved |

It's only available on Mp3 at the moment, but they'll be releasing a CD in the near future. |
