|
|
Communication with him enquiring on postage etc was smooth apparently.
Made payment on Jan, it's been close to 2 months and the LP did not came. Dropped him 3msgs & no replies. I've enquire this with Discogs & they have suspended his account. However I made a claim via Paypal but could not get a refund since it was made under personal payment. Has anyone encounter the same prob dealing with this seller & anyone could tell me if there's anyway to get a refund?
It's a frustrating situation.. RIP-OFFs DIE! _________________ Empire of serigalas dei-glorified, blood froze - time forgot! |

and if they tell you to pay by gift to avoid Paypal fees, tell them to pay it. Worse case scenario, pay for the service fee and include it in the total. |

Seriously. If I see this in the description I don't buy it. Fuck these cheap assholes. Should the buyer pay the discogs fee too while we're at it? #fuckthis |

Just some cheapskate argued with me over 50c for charging him over the item he bid for the stuff I sold on ebay. His argument was I wasn't a label/distro.. Why should he pay for the paypal fees..some asshole we have here!!! _________________ Empire of serigalas dei-glorified, blood froze - time forgot! |

If its someone I know and have dealt with before, it's fair enough. But you'd be a fool to do that with someone you've never dealt with. |

I always ask for payment as PERSONAL and GIFT if someone requests unregistered shipping. Funny thing is that 90% of the people want me to take a risk but they're not willing to do the same. I've been ripped off too many times with PayPal claims and I don't trust anyone anymore. You want to save on shipping and want your parcel shipped unregistered? Send the money as a gift, don't tell me to take a risk if I "really want to sell this stuff fast".
Sorry to hear that people get ripped off this way but I guess it's not just the buyers ripping people off any more. PayPal sucks. Period. |

To be fair here, it is against eBay policy to add additional fees onto the sale total for PayPal fees as a seller. You can have your account closed for only one reported violation. |

Not necessarily true.
I've had many discussion with eBay personnel on the phone and what I have been told is that you are not allowed to charge a percentage because it is unclear what the final charge/price will be. You can include an extra fee in the shipping and handling price but it has to be a set charge and not a percentage. If shipping price is $10 you can $2 or $3 or even another $10 to it for whatever reasons you wish. As long as you are not overcharging too much, which is also against eBay policy. There's plenty of people using this "scam" to their advantage.
I had a seller from Canada trying to charge me $20 to ship one video game. It costs roughly $3 to ship a Letter Mail parcel within Canada. He told me that he runs a physical video store and he pays his employees hourly wages and he needs to charge that and handling fee as well. Transaction was never finished. And I was wondering why his video games are priced at $0.99 and no one was buying them
But this trick doesn't really work anymore because eBay charges a 9% fee for shipping as well. Back in the day you could sell some rare/kvlt LP for a BUY IT NOW price of $1 and charge $100 for shipping and pay very little to eBay in fees. Those days are gone. |
