Um, they simply bought the rights to the Avantgarde / Wounded Love back catalogue in 2007 from what I remember.

Yes exactly. Peaceville just sat on this release for years until someone came who was willing to pay the big money they asked for the vinyl license...
Anyway, a great record it is; one that doubtlessly deserves to be on vinyl after so many years...

One sided record with an etched backside in a gatefold cover? Why not print it on heavy coloured/splatter/whatever vinyl while they're at it? I'll skip this, thank you!

I know that I've been hoping for a reissue of this for a while, and as it's only an EP to start with it would have to be either 1-sided or split up 10min a side. Do you wish the cover was on thin toilet paper like the new Earache reissues or something? |

45 rpm 12", so the sound gets as good as it can be.
I like the vinyl format because it sounds better to my ears and because LP covers look awesome. Etchings on records never look good and labels that do this kind of thing obviously don't care about the way things sound. Depends on who you prefer to sell your records, the people who cry when they can't get the 3 different colours of their die-hard versions or the ones who actually spin their records. |
