Both thumbs up! That Canadian fucker was a mess and got his ass kicked during Mgla already, haha. And that "Dark Sonority"-shirt guy in the front row during Vemod was a fucking pain in the ass as well. Seemed to be a friend or something of the guys, but behaved like Vemod was an RAC-band or something like that..
But nevertheless. Best festival/performances ever in one of the shittiest cities worldwide. Brussels already proved that in December 2011 when Mare, OTOH and stuff played as well. |

Weird. Brussels is a nice quiet beautiful town to me.
Never had any problems there. Spent a pleasant relaxing day there Saturday before the fest´s final onslaught.
It´s so much more agreeable and quiet than Paris...
Biggest WTF moment was Sepultura's "war for territory" as MGLA walked onto the stage.

Vemod. Simply the best live concert I have ever seen. At the end of a few long days of beer, bands and Brussels I felt pretty dead on my feet. As soon as Vemod started I was totally transfixed and invigorated. Considering the big demand that was behind this fest and the number of people who couldn't attend only because tickets were sold in 3 days (in mid August!), I would at least hope to see a few NBM4 merch and those new releases for sale in distro at this point

Ah ok good.
I just hope the new Mare vinyl compilation wasn't limited to only 100 units. Someone let intend there were only 100 for the fest, wonder if the release was planned in more copies so if there will be others for sale soon.
No distros are carrying copies of the vinyl at the moment right?

| Not that I've came across yet but I'm sure someone said that the 100 was only what was brought for the fest a few pages back. Hopefully there will be plenty, already have Spheres like death but would happily buy it again for Throne of the Thirteenth Witch. |

This was truely a great fest. I'm glad I could attend all 3 days. I got drunk the first day, so I had to take a taxi to my hotel. The Chimay beer was cheap compared to my favorite café.
Vemod was pretty good actually. Also Svartidaudi, Mare/Black Majesty, Mgla Hetroertzen, Urfaust, Sargeist, OTOH killed.
I'm seeing Svartidaudi in Rotterdam in a while, so it will be good to hang with them again.

This fest was pure satanic trance!
No merch and LP's for me, cause there was no place to storage the stuff. :/
