Not a thread of whether you like or dislike them, just select your favourite album of this killer -indeed- Chicago death metal act.
I won't vote since I haven't listened to 'Repulsive conception' yet, but I find their discography pretty much flawless, and even 'Grotesque blessings' sounds really crushing to me with such inspired solos and "slamming" parts à la Banished... maybe I'd go for 'Loathing', though.
I'm pretty curious to listen a new album by them.
P.S. If you wanna get rid of their albums (in jewel case CD's) with no eBay prices, please PM me. _________________ Great deals with: Orionized, DEVORADOR DE PLAGAS, Mental Funeral, MEDICAL_WASTE

Yeah, I saw that but didn't consider them serious answers at all. Criminally underrated band, as it is often said by these domains... _________________ Great deals with: Orionized, DEVORADOR DE PLAGAS, Mental Funeral, MEDICAL_WASTE

Repulsive Conception. That album ruled my headphones when it came out.

Bowels of Repugnance was good, Swamped in gore was solid too. Decent band but not one that is completely and utterly repulsive like a lot of their contemporaries. _________________

I never really listened to this band much but I think I still have a "Bowels of Repugnance" cd somewhere and I recall the lyrics being pretty funny so what the hell, that gets my vote.

Swamped in Gore was a good DM album in '91, back when these kvlt kids were either watching Sesame Street or listening to Vanilla Ice. Swamped in Gore is also a good album, Repulsive Conception was a massive letdown, gave up hope for them after that.

Broken Hope were one of the first death metal bands I got into, their best albums are Swamped In Gore and The Bowels of Repugnance. My vote goes to Bowels...there is something very creepy and eerie about that one. In my opinion they started going downhill with Repulsive Conception, that creepy atmosphere was gone and I think it was due to changing Ed Hughes to Sean Glass on bass, but I'm not completely sure. I was into Loathing a bit when it came out, but even back then I wasn't very impressed with it. Grotesque Blessing is a little better than Loathing, but still just an average album. Anyway, for me these days I can still appreciate the first two, rest of their albums can disappear for all I care. _________________ "By all evidence we are in the world to do nothing."
