Yeah! The classic Combat tour live. But anyone knows does the whole show exist in any format? |

Doesn't answer his question, which interests me as well. What's on the vhs is only a fragment of the whole show, it's very unlikely they only played 4 songs. _________________ Permabanned |

don't know, but would be interesting... they seem to do those crazy 80's graphics when ever anyone gets on stage, which is cool, but unedited would be crazier! |

My brother was actually at that show. He said it was total chaos - just people going insane everywhere. My friends and I still ask him about it all the time!
I still watch the VHS (well, now I have a DVD-R...) very often. One of the most important shows ever, not only because of three killer bands at their peak, but because of what it meant for metal. Having that show at the disco capital of the world sent a clear message that metal was taking over!!! _________________ Evil Is As Evil Does... |

The EXODUS and SLAYER parts are the best thrash live footage ever! But I always found it disappointing that the VENOM songs were taken from their Hammersmith video (7th Date of Hell?). A video of the full shows would of course be more than great! |

Yeah, me too. From what I remember, Mantas wasn't able to enter the U.S. at the time so they used two replacement guitarists on that tour. They didn't want the video tape to include footage without Mantas, so they used the smoke-filled Hammersmith stuff instead.
The interviews on that tape are just so fucking classic...almost as good as the music! _________________ Evil Is As Evil Does... |

That guy rules!!
But my favorite is the dude that feels compelled to run up to the camera to throw the horns up and proclaim "Upstate motherfucker!" _________________ Evil Is As Evil Does... |

Funny shit was when Exodus got back to the bay area after that tour the tape was already out and people were mad at Paul for saying the crowd was the best crowd they ever had. I saw them in SF and Paul had to apologies to the crowd "I meant to say that those guys were the best crowd on tour, but you guys here are the actually the best!"
BUSTED!
No idea about full sets from those gigs, but it may be that since the cost of video editing was a lot more back in the 80's they only made complete edits of the material on the tape. Audio is likely off the mixing board, so it is possible that the video was taken without audio. _________________ "...that magnificent deer has vanished." |

Can you ask your brother how many songs Slayer played? |
