I'm hoping it was mentioned somewhere in these 24 pages, but Slogun is not to be missed. Albums like "Let Me Show You How" and "Fair Game" come only once in a while. Less like German heavy electronics and more like a very vocal version of Taint's best. The recent material is good, but not even close.

In terms of an album a little more off the radar - Piss Horn's "Hatred Mountain" I cannot recommend enough. Possessed, shiver-inducing filth, that may be a little more on the industrial side of things.

I like all bands under Broken Flag and the '80 italian scene: mauthausen orchestra, the sodality, progetto morte etc...I think are the best for me: grunt, con-dom, grey wolves, brighter death now, operation cleansweep, macronympha and survival unit.

Maybe try NURTURE ABUSE from RI.
I do all the sounds and try to write in a structured fashion for the most part.

Also, good thread..

The new LP from Anenzephalia is pretty good. I'm mostly a fan of his live recordings over previous studio work.

For those into Italian PE, look for The New Sadism "Urge to Kill" LP on Menstrual Recordings. It's a collab between Mauthausen Orchestra & Swastika Kommando.

If anyone is interested, I have the new Mania/SSRI (Sick Seed) split tape-drop a line at bitewerks556 at gmail.com

The two live SPK cd's on Therapeutic/Adverse Recordings (a division of Byzantium Media) are pretty good. Maybe not for those new to SPK- I'd recommend hunting down cd reissues of their first 2 full-lengths.

Titles are "Field Report San Francisco" & "Case Study London". Malignant Rec's has'em in the U.S. I'd recommend the "C.S.L." disc as it has studio rec'ings from Oct. 31st 1982 plus live in the UK*. The S.F. disc is from a soundboard rec'ing but it's overblown- the first 2 songs are very intense.

*Much better soundquality than the SF recording

I've been listening Zamia Lehmanni from SPK lately. That's the only album I know from them, but I've gathered that the other albums are quite different?
Any recommendations from their discography (or from others) for similar type of stuff?

For SPK, seek out "Information Overload Unit" LP, "Auto-da-fe" (collection of their ultra-hard-to-find 7"'s) & "Leichenschrei" LP. You can find samples from all of them on youtube.

I only have the Information Overload Unit CD and it's definitely a much appreciated disc. I need to pick up some other stuff by them, I was eyeballing those new live sets but alas, it twas not to be....

The SPK 7"s (most of which are found on side 1 of Auto Da Fe) are some of the best music ever made.
