| yeah but it's kinda hard to obtain for a regular price. Ugra Karma reissue crops up every now and then for reasonable prices but not the first album. |

see it quite often for around €50 which I think is a reasonable price for such a killer record.
Worship everything up to Ugra Karma, but the first album is the pinnacle of their work IMO. _________________

I really need to write up as a short story my nightmare experience of promoting the cursed Impaled Nazarene New Zealand tour in 1999. No reflection on the band by the way, it was just 4 days of everything that could go wrong going wrong. It in clued Car crashes, police raids and problems with an Ex Prison Skinhead gang, Not to mention all my ex Girl friends at the time seemed to descend on the Christchurch show and go psycho at me in various different ways.
Anyway, my recommendation for mandatory Impaled Nazarene is 'Tol Crompt Norz Norz Norz', 'Suomi Finland Perkele' and 'Decade of Decadence'.
A piece of useless information: on the insert collage of 'Decade..' there is a photo of what looks like the band standing in front of the volcano crater at Mt Eden in Auckland. If you have a close look at it you'll see that it's not actually the full band and that one of them is in fact me. I think it was Jani who was taking the photo at the time, but can't remember exactly. _________________

| ^^^ Ha, please do. Tour stories involving IN are always good for a laugh. I like the story of one of the guys from IN giving Kriss Hades from Sad Ex painkillers in suppository form after he broke his hand trying to subdue Dave Slave by repeatedly punching him in the head! |

Tol... is the sickest black metal album of the early 90's scene, maybe my favourite from that era. Haven't really heard anyone capturing the same sexually frustrated and hateful feeling. Ugra Karma and SFP are also killer albums, but not in that black way as Tol and Taog Eht... demo.
The couple of gigs in the last few years I have witnessed have been great, still got the power and they play mostly songs from the first three. I haven't bothered to check out the latest albums though. |

I remember one gig two years ago. They played almost two hours (!) and played almost everything out of the first three albums and even from the Shemhamforash demo (Disgust Suite's). _________________

I remember the mid-era albums being hated because of the Punk/Motorhead influences back in the 90s, but I reckon the scene has warmed up to that in recent years. How do people feel about Latex Cult, Rapture etc. these days? _________________ http://www.dissectionforum.dk/ |

| Excellent records. Latex Cult really has the punk/Motörhead vibe but Rapture rather is a d-beat/crust/punk record mixed with black metal. But as I mentioned before I love their whole discography. One of my fave bands with a flawless discography. On the other hand I understand people who loves only the early recordings... |

Good band! First two albums are absolute best black metal from Finland, especially TCNNN. Later albums are okay but too humorous for serious listening. Good drinking music though! |

Early material is essential. Not a fan of the later stuff. _________________

| Everything up to Latex Cult is essential, kind of hit and miss beyond that. I even seem to remember an album where Mika's vocals sounded strangely like Chuck from Death for some reason. Can also do without the Children of Bodom leads on the later releases. |

Well, he plays leads only on Nihil. It has some good moments, like Zero Tolerance. _________________
