Any news on this very underrated band? I wonder if there's any new material being worked on or if they're still active at all.

Underrated? Why so? I would say they are very recognized and have their attention. I could say a ton of bands that are really underrated. Not Ascension...
Somehow the album left me a lot to desire. The demo is so far their best.

I guess that's just me but I haven't seen much mention of them anywhere (amongst fellow metalheads, zines, even metal forums, etc).
Since it's been a couple of years now since the album I was wondering if there is anything new being worked on, 'cause I'd be glad to hear more.

Wondered too what happened to them. Not that I like them or anything, but the talks around them some years ago was like they were going to be next big thing next to Katharsis or Teitanblood or something.
I too got fooled and ordered the LP cause;
A) its going to be good cause I love Katharsis
B) I have ltd version of sought after LP.
But musick wasnt good at all and band didnt came big enough so nobody wants my LP. After that blind purchase havent bought any LP's without hearing first.

cut the crap.
great band, great musicianship, really good riff and ideas, good sound (production), great lyrics etc. everything they released is top notch.
seen them live once and they sounded as good as on the records.

Read somewhere (facebook?) awhile back that they were planning on focusing their time on getting a new album together, after having played a few live shows.

Great band. Top notch black metal. Probably too polished for people around here. Album is excellent. Better than what Watain and Ofermod and Ondskapt have become

I think so too. The demo was surprisingly good, but it took a while for the album to sink in. Don't really think of them as milestones or anything, but they're right there somewhere in the upper register for sure.

The album is good, but the demo is way, way superior. And I kinda think they lost the personal sound they had at that time, their full length sounds a bit too orthodox.
