If he thinks those stolen Agent Steel/Attacker riffs are the signs of a guitar god, hah. Typical dumbass hipster reviewer, the album is going to suck dick and that song is shit whether its six or fourteen minutes. _________________

Too many upset and hurt individuals here that somehow feel Darkthrone broke their hearts.
You all realize there are a lot of other bands offering what Darkthrone did twenty years ago right? No real need to get worked up over this particular bands change. |

| After a few listens, what I like the most on this new record is the return to a 100% Metal sound & production, without any Punk aesthetics. It sounds way better than the 3 or even 4 previous ones. Both the drums & guitars. I do love Punk production but in the end what suits DARKTHRONE the most is the real Metal sound with a lot more work than the average Punk record. Fenriz drum style on this album is ten times more powerful, fast and creative than on the previous ones. Songwriting is way more consistent too, and Nocturno Culto unleashes some truly awesome riffs that one could not expect after all these years. This album could be the best of their new era. Time will tell. |

Darkthrone rules, most guys that just have this forum to say they don't... well it is hardly a fair comparison... cause after all Darkthrone rules and most guys that just have this forum don't.
Darkthrone rules. Literally every album has been good, good to excellent. Never wanted to turn off a Darkthrone album yet when it is on. |

Yeah Fenriz' drumming is definitely more "busy" on this one, very much in the vein of A Blaze... but I think "the punk stuff" also had really imaginative drums on his side, just listen to all that hi-hat work for example. Fenriz really masters the d-beat. Kinda miss those DEATH SIDE moments on the previous albums. _________________ ok but who are you damn i have lot of orders
