| CYFAWS is one of my favorite French albums of all time, but there's nothing particularly disturbing about it. Some parts are actually sort of upbeat sounding, in fact. |

^ I like it, but yeah..not that disturbing. I prefer Blood Libels, and think that is more "disturbing".
Agree with many of the other suggestions. |

Me neither, nor anything PE/harshnoise-related. In general, all the people involved in that kind of stuff come off as try-hards to me. You don't show whatever you do that's creepy or disturbing to anyone, and when you creep people out or make them feel disturbed, it's generally because you catch them off-guard. Hardcore BDSM or nazi-related cover pictures creep me out about as much as goregrind record covers full of decaying corpses with poo smeared everywhere, that is to say not at all.
I remember being creeped out by that Black Dawn song "Of Blackest Witchcraft" or something when I was 16. |

| I dropped acid and listened to Abruptum- Vi Sonus Veris Nigrae Malitiaes once when I was a teenager. Me and three friends sat in a basement in front of a roaring fireplace and thoroughly freaked ourselves out. I still can't listen to it, because of the weird "LSD memory" I have associated with it. Definitely a good experience. |

Listen to it with headphones on in a dark room!

Oh yes, indeed. Akira Yamaoka is such a great composer.
Cant think of any metal related which i've ever found disturbing. Theres plenty of disturbing records in Power Electronics, Ambient, et cetera genres. Cant namedrop because most of the names i dont remember or dont know.
I must mention Stalaggh though, never been a huge fan of them but not long time ago got them records playing in my head while waking up in sleep paralysis. Not a very nice situation. |

I have to go with Nuclear Death. The first time I listened to Carrion For Worm I was not mentally prepared... Add in the lyrics/art and I don't think many metal bands come close to the sheer eerie disgusting vibe in ND's stuff. Hell, reading old interviews with Lori Bravo is disturbing by itself! _________________
