Has anyone seen this? It's the follow up to 'Metal: A Headbangers Journey'. I thought the original feature was kinda lame... the presenter comes off as a real sycophant, but in the successor he is a little more low key and the depth of the feature is a little greater than I may have expected, but definitely hoped for.
The Japanese element was really going downhill until, last gasp, Mirai from Sigh is on and next thing there is footage of Sigh rehearsing. Sure there's no Abigail or Sabbat, but this was pretty cool.
They also do a feature in China with Ritual Day and some of the interviews from the middle eastern acts are pretty cool. Esp the guy from Salem who claims Varg Vikernes mailed them a bomb he he.
Anyone else seen it?

How would we see this? It has not come out yet, unless it is on torrents.....
I would like to see this, as I collect obscure LP's and demos from Third world countries. Although the bands I like will probably not be mentioned, I still find this concept fascinating and I hope people in the future will not write off these great(in a metal sense) countries. |

so now they are just getting to metal in asia
i was in japan for 2 weeks traveling around between kyoto, tokyo hiroshima and other places and i didnt see anyone that looked like a metal or had metal shirts. Only place i saw that sold metal shirts was in tokyo the fasion street but they had bands like cannibal corpse, suffocated, dark funeral. There was a place in kyoto that was a small cds store with like 10 vinyls. The but everyone over there follows the gothic lolita fasion at least thats what i saw. |

You can't do a segment on Japanese Metal and not mention Sabbat. That's criminal. |

I saw the premiere here in Montreal... it was pretty cool to see a SIGH rehearsal in a very commercial movie theater, haha! The movie was pretty cool, although I thought they spoke too much about religion and racism (the Angel of Death part)... I guess you have no choice to speak about that when you go in some cultures. I still recommend it regardless. |

I was given an advance disc of it... I have no idea whether it's released... wasn't my question. The site says something about it playing in June... _________________ Ashes to ashes
