Indeed. |
I would like to hear it, actually. The rerecordings he did were interesting at worst. It's not like if I don't like the rerecordings I can't go back to the originals. He wants to rerecord / reinterpret? I'm all for it. I might not like it, but then again I might. |
He should re-record "Daudi Baldrs" but with guitar this time. That could work very well. Everything else is plain pointless, and does nothing but denigrate his own musical legacy. _________________ Solitary Elitism:

Well he already re-worked the song Dauši Baldrs as Belus' dųd on Belus. But he did state that he is happy with rest of the discography (unlike the first and second albums) and he is not going to re-work on anything else. _________________

It's more likely the sales for "From the Depths of Darkness" remained way behind the expectations... and thus he does not feel compelled to re-record anything else.
His first two albums, in particular the 2nd one (my favorite from his entire discography), are flawless for all I care. During the 1990ties, he never said he was unhappy with any of his recordings, either.
Anyway... I am looking forward to this DVD. _________________ Solitary Elitism:

I think he was planning to release a second compilation of re-recorded material. Anyway, I don't really care about new Burzum to be honest, Belus had a couple of great tracks but just that. Any band of some quality could have released his new albums. _________________ Sic transit gloria mundi |
