| Viking metal done the right way. I'm sure everyone is gonna shit on this thread calling them gay and what have you, however if you have an open mind give them a listen. The early material is the best, but Hels vite is my personal favorite from them. |

| Love early Thyrfing. To be honest though I haven't heard anything past Farsotstider, though I did enjoy that album. They've got a new album coming out too I think? |

| I usually don't care about this style, but Farsotstider was a very solid album. |

Yeah, the production started up when I bought the CD and I thought I was going to be let down. But it actually surprised me how interesting it was. Definitely not an album I don't listen to all the time... It's kind of a downer from what I remember. Haven't played it in years though. The title track's synth section was really convincing. _________________ You can dispose of your guitar, Show No Mercy has been already been written. |

It's somewhat cheesy, but Valdr Galga is a good record. _________________ http://www.UnbornProductions.com

| Windir, Enslaved (Eld), Manegarm, Fortid, Asmegin, Bathory viking, Ereb Altor, Stormheit, Moonsorrow, Vintersorg, Otyg, Einherjer, Falkenbach, Arstidir Lifsins and much more germanic/slavic/other european bands that are not Scandinavian, I also didn't mention bands like Hades etc. that are just black metal with viking themes |

Hmm, maybe Månegarm, especially the demos and first album. Don't really know them beyond that. I think Mithotyn also did quite well with In The Sign Of The Ravens and especially Gathered Around The Oaken Table, which is surprisingly technical and chock full of great riffs. Probably one of the better albums in this genre too. _________________ §:-«l |

Yes. And right along those lines, Cor Scorpii and Mistur. But these sound way more like Windir than Thyrfing. I don't mind that at all. _________________ §:-«l

| Forgot Mithotyn. GAtOT is my favourite of them too, although it has too much riffs for my taste, similiar as UK Forefather (on Steadfast) |
