The beginning of Thor's Hammer Fidelity Shall Triumph record is also a great moment: It's a Pagan Power Metal Attack!

The weirdly happy-sounding acoustic break in "The Dawn of the New Empire" on Black Hateful Metal.

That whole album is a one huge WTF, not just some specified spot.

the main-riff in "Frühlung" by Nargaroth - that has got to be the least intimidating BM song ever.

"Frühling" means "spring," so that riff is presumably meant to sound happy / hopeful / joyful / optimistic.

That 'feel good' kind of happy riff that Apparition Of A Haunted Dance by Zephyrous starts with. It gets evil (or at least heavy) pretty soon, but that shit is just like Bon Jovi or something. I like it a lot though.

First time I listened to "L'ordure à l'état pur" and heard this sample from Les Visiteurs : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Y5BFj_eD2w

I fell instantly in love for that record in spite of its flaws thanks to that sample.

Most of Fenriz's "singing" on the crusty Darkthrone albums are pretty laughable.

I like that a lot actually. It's mental as fuck.

Me too. It starts pretty calm, but becomes fucking hysterical.

Goatmoon has a Bathory moment at the beginning of the split version of "Descent, Ascent and Conquer"... glad it was dropped from the LP version of the track

And I know why they did it, but the beginning of GBK's The Slums of Jerusalem makes me cringe a bit
