Wings of Metal is a new Canadian two-day underground metal festival that takes place in Montréal, Québec. Organized in a DIY way by three promoters, the goal is to bring quality established and emerging bands together in the style of European metal festivals. The styles of the bands playing will vary from Doom to Heavy, NWOBHM, Thrash, Black and Death metal.
We already have a first announcement for the fest, an absolutely tremendous act, delivering primitive and ancient black metal since 1995. This mysterious band has never played a show before, and we are beyond stoked to have them on our bill. Behold, MEGIDDO from Toronto! They will be playing "The Devil and the Whore" in its entirety, as well as a couple from "The Atavism of Evil" and a new track from their long awaited 3rd full length, "The Holocaust Messiah".

Here is the announcement of our first headliners of Wings of Metal festival; one of the most important bands that emerged from the NWOBHM movement… SATAN!! We are extremely excited to present you this classic act, as they have reunited with the original lineup of “Court in the Act”, and this will be their first North American appearance ever! The band is also about to release a new album, called “Life Sentence”. Rejoice!

We are proud to announce you our third band… they have been praised very much by the tape trading underground of the mid 80’s, but unfortunately disappeared after releasing two demos… Behold, VOOR from Jonquière, Québec! They play a punishing black/thrash, characterized by raw vocals and insane solos. They saw their demos re-released as a special vinyl package by NWN! Prods in the states in 2010.

About 10-11 in two days. It leaves plenty of time for bands to play. There will be no filler, only good bands. By the way, there is a great terrace now at the Katacombes, to have a space to talk and smoke when needed!
