I think I liked Toteslaut a little bit at least... but it's once again one of those albums that hardly gets any rotation so I've no idea how I would feel about it these days. And the drums sounded strange or were possibly programmed. I don't know, it was like a stubborn knot that would not unfurl. Oh well, maybe some day.

Stop the press. Just checked, the drums are quite obviously real but that snare is ticking away pretty hard.

It could be Age of Fire your thinking of the drums sound programmed on that album. I haven't heard the latest album yet I must check it out.

Aye, the drums are real but untight as fuck. Which is great. One of the best black metal records from Sweden.

Somehow I listened to Age Of Fire very often in my teens. Toteslaut doubtlessly is superior but I discovered it MUCH later...
