came to post the same message, good to hear about re-editions since that was my previous question regarding Lunar Poetry. havent followed any recent Graveland but newer NM hasn't sounded bad (great Bathory cover)

That's a huge understatement. "Voice of Steel" is a phenomenal, outstanding work. It's like they gathered some of the best musicians in Ukraine and had songs full of power and passion ready to go.

| The "progressive" or "psychedelic" moments on this album should be removed though. They don't destroy the album but add nothing to the music. |

i'll still give anything new a listen but nothing will ever beat Lunar Poetry to me. everything about that demo except for the CF cover fascinates me. they're a great band though, and theyre one of the very few exceptions to any kind of folk or symphonic metal that i don't hate.

I really enjoyed the last album, and thought the progressive 'Floydian' elements were interesting (even a bit Nephilim-esque, as that band has been discussed here recently).
I did, however, think that some of these elements seemed strangely close to Dub in the bass department - which appeared strange given the nature of the band... |

| For me the best tracks on Voice of Steel were By The Path of The Sun, title one and Ukraine, the breaks in Valkyrie, beginning of White Tower almost made me want to skip. I would prefer them just to continue Weltanschauung/Voice of Steel style with the artsy bs kept to minimum. I still prefer Voice of Steel over previous one and it's one of my favourite pagan metal records, they haven't overdone the prog shit like Enslaved but I'm afraid they could. |

I havent been able to sit through this whole album Voice Of Steele yet. Pretty hokey is what I think when i listen to it.
