the idea of a coat room or a place to store your stuff was really out of the ordinary to see at NWN Fest, but a blessing if your hotel is 15 minutes walk away. ive never been to any venue in the US with either option available.

Weird... pretty much every "professional" venue around here has a coat/bag check. Seems like it would be a sensible thing at MDF, given that most people don't want to carry their shit around all day and would probably happily pay a few bucks to have someone else watch it for the duration.

A locker business, someone should bring portable lockers. Like how they bring portable shitters, but you rent a locker for a rate, like what they have set up at some malls.

Aside from the fanciful reasons everyone else has given, Sonar simply does not have the space to store coats/bags for anywhere near the amount of people attending MDF. Nearly every inch of that venue is consumed by operations relating the festival. It's a good idea in theory but the nature of the venue really doesn't allow for it.

Few minutes walk to the hotel to drop off back packs with merch and to slam a few beers is the way to go for me.

Yeah was about to say, majority of attendees are at hotels within walking distance. Given that the main days are almost 14 hours long, most people just make a couple trips back to the hotel anyway to drink / smoke / fukk.

"Also, if you're scanning for the Morgion logo on this flyer, they will not be playing. We attempted to book them again after they had to cancel last year, but long story short, there are still too many roadblocks in the way that will keep them from playing this year. As we already had to move Sleep to the Sunday show, there will not be another band added in replace of Morgion."

It seems I'll be making the trip from Mexico City. Does anyone knows a hostel near the venue? Im not looking for something around the corner, just a cheap place to sleep and not too far away.

Have any of you found the closest/cheapest option for hotels yet? Not trying to pay like 200 bucks a night to sleep on a floor with 6 other assholes.

Sounds strange, since they've announced that they aren't adding any more bands I thought.

Would be amazing if true.
