I wrote up a long message on here about Midnight (and Boulder too!) that was on the Yellow Goat thread, but it seems to have been deleted? Not sure where it went.
But yeah, Midnight rules. "Satanic Royalty" was well worth the wait in my opinion. And I have a feeling another LP might come around sooner than later.....

The album is nowhere near as good as their previous stuff, still solid though. Good band, especially live, but nowhere near as great as some people make them out to be.

I was recommended Chapel by a friend based on my love of Midnight. I got that Satan’s Rock 'n' Roll album and it was just really mediocre to me. It definitely has the hallmarks of something I might enjoy but it doesn't really grab me in the same way that Midnight does.

I enjoy more Chapel because they're less sloppy, and far more aggressive than Midnight, but, on the other side of the coin, I can see how Midnight's sloppy, more "fun" style would appeal to others more. It's really just a "different strokes for different folks" sort of thing.
