So, I did not find a poll for Merciless. If there has been one before I am terribly sorry for wasting 2 seconds of your time on the internet.
I've always thought that The Awakening is their best, but just recently discovered how brilliant Unbound is. It's basically their own "Blood Fire Death". More epic songs than before. I will wait to pick one option myself until I've given both the albums a spin today. _________________ Todays modern science is your modern religion.

Unbound, easily their most mature and powerful album. Awakening is slightly overrated imo, too much Kreator worship and the production could have been better, the same tracks sound more crushing on the Realm of the dark demo. The Treasures Within should get more credit, it's really a good album. _________________ Thread derailed

I like all of Merciless' releases to some extent, but The Awakening and the demos are by far the best releases. _________________

Voted Unbound, while The Awakening is great I actually like Unbound more. NP: The Treasures Within
Great album as well.

I do. It's an excellent record and one of the few really strong comeback albums I can think of. It's slightly sub par when compared to Unbound and Awakening though, which probably explains why it hasn't scored votes yet. But hey, we're talking about supreme classics of the genre here so being bronze medal after two such milestones of metal is a more than honourable effort. _________________ Thread derailed

The Treasures Within - the band wasn´t too happy with the production being too Sunlight-y but I think it is their darkest effort, great songwriting from start to finish.
Also, the first tracks I ever heard from them together with the Projections... tracks. _________________ Oh, what fun we have when we exist.

| The Awakening for me, but Unbound is also very good, more melodies on that one. Still didn't got around to check out the other albums, is it really mandatory? |

Yeah I'd say so. The Treasures Within at times leans to regular Swedish DM a bit too much but it's still a great album in my book. Merciless is a return to the old deathrash sound, sort of The Awakening meets Unbound and again an excellent output with at least a couple of classics on it, Unearthly Salvation is just awesome and one of the best songs the band ever wrote. _________________ Thread derailed

I'll go with Unbound as well. Easily their best. Very good songs, nice flow, great production. _________________ Into the Menstrual Night We Go-o, Hey-Ho, Hey-Ho...
