Opinions on this project? I haven't heard too much of his BM stuff but I don't remember thinking it was that amazing. The dark ambient stuff on the other hand...killer! Speaking of which, is there any way of telling what releases of Vinterriket are in that style? In particular "Landschaften Ewiger Einsamkeit" and "Stille" are some of my favourite ambient sounds (so isolated sounding), considering the size of his discography there's a lot of stuff to trawl through to find the right things...

The guy's label was more interesting I think. At least he released some awesome Necroplasma materials! _________________ "That is not dead which can eternal lie,

I have ...Und Die Nacht Kam Schweren Schrittes, never liked it, really boring stuff.
I recently got Retrospektive, already better, but just good. _________________ Sale list (Burzum, DTL, Sunn O))), Darkthrone, Abruptum, Windir, Hellfest, Shining, Fissur, ...) : http://www.nwnprod.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=710004#710004

Musically have no problem with Vinterriket but the guy behind it... ehh, forget it! He is/was possessed by the numerous re-releases of his shit! I released 2 Vinterriket cassettes in the far past and at "Winterschatten" we agreed that I do the official tapeversion of the album, we agreed on the releasedate too and what I heard? An ukranian label released their re-release version earlier than mine was published! In this moment I finished the cooperation with Christoph...

I love the ambient stuff, not a big fan of his black metal stuff.

Check out his latest album "Garðarshólmur", it's ambient again but sounds a bit different to the previous ambient albums, there's more variation and spoken vocals. He doesn't repeat himself so much when it comes to the compositions either. I enjoyed this one a lot. I also recommend the "Horizontmelancholie" album (dark neofolkish stuff, no distorted guitars or screamy vocals) and the "Berglandschaften 2001-2004" compilation (ambient tracks only).
