Hypothermia's "Köld" is great if you have an hour to spend on meh riffs and indie rock drumming....

Nah. To me, "Köld" is in fact far from mere sobbing because it's so emotionless and just cold stuff. Trance-inducing static repetition in an insipid production, no "girlfriend left me please come back" drama with excessively sad melodies. Not much happens during those 20-30 minute songs but the few monotonous riffs are perfect... oh well, opinions differ and I certainly understand the disliking.

I've read rumours on several unofficial "fan sites" at Facefuck that the band shall be split-up. I didn't find anything at No Colours. Does anyone know sth. about it?

Stuff like that:

"I regret to announce that Nyktalgia are officially split up, the words of "Winterheart"

So...

Can you link source?

Disband would suck balls, Nyktalgia is one of my favourite bm bands, last month I pretty much listen to both albums daily.

Peisithanatos is an outstanding album period, irregardless of subgenres. I eagerly await the next album. Sterbend ain't half bad either.

*Regardless

More on topic: I love their second album. Haven't listened to it in ages, though.

Two perfect records, that's better than most bands can claim. If they're done, then they have left behind a great body of work without a flaw, fine with me.

The very first riff of the first song of "Peisithanatos" sounds so damn kitschy (hope you get what I mean), I really hate it, haha. But luckily the album is getting better with every song. Pavor Nocturnus is really magnificent, especially the bass-works (as stated before).
Strid's "Nattevandring" must have been a essential influence on this song...

would be very suprised if there would come any further output of Nyktalgia.
As i know at least one band member lost his interest in black metal at all...

Shitty news if true. Both their albums and track on Tormenting Legends II are great.
