I wouldn't call these Pop Metal, but suit yourself.
Those are all great albums, and might I add, Moonspell did another great record this year (a double album). Love the evolving sound of this band for ages. They never disappointed me.
Samael and Tiamat are another story. Tiamat, a sad one unfortunately.
They sucked after Judas Christ (now that's a poppy record) which was commercial as fuck but very well done. _________________ http://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Flight-Of-Sleipnir/267879219900772 |

Alma Mater and Moonskin are both great tracks. Never heard this newer Tiamat stuff before but I'm digging it.
Dark Tranquillity also has some nice "pop metal" tracks as well, but I can't remember any track or album names. |

Quiet Riot and such, I guess? Most Glam Metal and Melodic/borderline AOR bands. Stryper. _________________ Good/Bad traders list

Maybe stuff by Sybreed and Illidiance Damage Theory release would kind of fit into this category. _________________ Well black metal doesn't really go in that group... at all.... Black metal is all witches and warlocks and graveyards....

Would Ghost or The Devil's Blood fit in this category?

| Tiamat is one of my favorite bands, from the Treblinka days up to the new album. I don't know if I'd call them metal, though. |

As for the term, "Pop Metal", Kill it with Fire.
The bands mentioned... meh. I have heard much better. It is about as interesting to me as Melodeath. |
